Corby comes together for Harvest Festival to support local families in need

Oakley Vale Community Centre to host a special day of music, food and community spirit on Saturday October 3rd from 11am till 4pm, all in support of Corby Foodbank.

Oakley Vale Community Centre is proud to announce that it will host this year’s Harvest Festival for Corby, bringing communities from across the town together for a very special day dedicated to helping those who need it most.

The Harvest Festival promises to be a celebration of everything that makes Corby special — community, generosity, togetherness and looking after one another.

With a full day of music, entertainment, community activities and free hot food available throughout the day for anyone in need, the event is designed to be much more than a traditional harvest celebration.

At its heart is a simple but hugely important message: no one in our community should have to go without.

The entire event is being held in support of Corby Foodbank, with the aim of creating a substantial stockpile of essential food, toiletries and everyday items that can be distributed to local people and families facing difficult circumstances.

The response from the people and organisations of Corby has already been exceptional.

Generous donations and support have been received from right across the town, including Corby Town Council, with local people, organisations and businesses all playing their part in helping to make the Harvest Festival possible.

The organisers are now calling on the wider Corby community to come together once again and help make this year’s festival a truly meaningful occasion.

A harvest of generosity

Harvest Festival has traditionally been a time to celebrate the food and resources that sustain us and to give thanks for what we have.

This year, Oakley Vale Community Centre wants to take that tradition one step further — by asking those who can give to share what they can with those who may be struggling.

Every donation can make a difference.

A bag of pasta.
A tin of food.
A packet of toiletries.

A jar of coffee.
